IDS offers home pages
to nonprofits for free
Free home pages are being offered to "nonprofit, public-service oriented" groups by Intelecom Data Systems, an East Greenwich Internet access provider, according to IDS president, Andy Green.
It's not necessary for the organization to have an Internet account to have its own home page, Green said, but groups must create the pages themselves. (This can be done on a computer with basic word-processing software.)
The home page files can then be sent to IDS by disk or modem to be stored on its Internet-connected computer, where they can be viewed by anyone on the World Wide Web.
